Sign stealing. Political social media censorship. Media blackouts.
The major parties have tried every dirty move in the playbook to stop independent congressional candidate Eric Troutman– but he just keeps right on coming.
“They can’t stop the Independent movement. The people are tired of the political parties. They want to fire all of them.” Troutman says. “So we’re declaring June 2, 2026 Independents’ Day– the Day the Independents in Orange County finally get a qualified candidate on the ballot.”
Eric Troutman is running in California’s crowded 47th Congressional District primary along with 8 other contenders. But the split Republican vote is working out like a dream for Troutman who is drawing heavily from centrists on both sides of the aisle.
“The Republicans know they can’t win in November after Prop 50, so they’re backing Troutman in the primary. The Democrats want to try to block out the Republicans completely, so they’re also backing Troutman in the primary.” Troutman’s campaign says. “And, of course, Independents ae backing Troutman in the primary– he’s the strongest Independent house candidate since Bernie Sanders, and even more likeable.”
Troutman’s fundraising has been off the charts. He has raised more money than any challenger in the field and has tremendous grassroots support– with hundreds of thousands of followers on his political blog AmericaDeservesToWin.com and millions of views on his campaign’s popular YouTube channel (@TroutmanForAmerica.)
“Our nation’s birthday might be July 4, but Independents’ Day is June 2, 2026.” Troutman wrote in a blog post today. “This is the best chance for Independents to have a QUALIFIED non-partisan candidate win a House seat in DECADES.”
Recent townhall polls appear to support Troutman’s claim of potential victory– up to 44% of respondents are supporting Troutman, ahead of every other candidate.
“Troutman is every INDEPENDENTS’ dream candidate. Perfect credentials. Great background. Family man. Business man. Overall nice guy. And most of all– NOT A PARTISAN PUPPET!” Troutman wrote. “But he needs every single Independent in Orange County to VOTE IN THE PRIMARY.”
Putting a finer point on it, Troutman is predicting outright victory if the Independent vote comes through– but a loss is still in the cards if no party preference voters sit out the primary.
“If all the independents come out and vote TROUTMAN WILL WIN.” Troutman says. “If they stay home and sit on their hands, its over. We can’t win without them.”
California’s jungle primary is June 2, 2026. Only two candidates will be on the ballot in November.
