Author, journalist, entrepreneur, and real estate investor Angela Blair, alongside her husband, author and ministry leader Kelly Riggs, is launching a nationwide campaign to combat homelessness through Sonshine Ministries Group LLC.
The initiative seeks to establish a growing network of faith-based transitional homes designed to provide more than temporary shelter. Its mission is to help individuals experiencing homelessness rebuild their lives through stable housing, employment opportunities, biblical financial education, and Christian discipleship.
Rooted in the belief that lasting transformation requires both spiritual guidance and practical resources, the ministry will emphasize personal accountability, financial responsibility, and pathways to lasting independence.
Restoring Lives Through Faith and Financial Education
Residents will receive instruction in budgeting, financial management, employment readiness, and practical life skills.
The program’s financial education component draws upon principles presented in Riggs’ book, Financial Freedom by God’s Design, connecting biblical stewardship with practical strategies for achieving financial stability.
Blair’s experience in real estate investment, property development, and management complements Riggs’ background in construction, ministry leadership, and financial education. Together, they envision a sustainable approach to transitional housing that combines compassionate Christian service with effective business management.
Expanding the Mission Across America
Sonshine Ministries Group LLC is seeking partnerships with churches, ministry leaders, property owners, real estate investors, employers, and community organizations nationwide. These partnerships will support the acquisition, development, and operation of transitional homes while expanding employment opportunities, mentorship, and community resources for residents.
The organization also maintains a national online transitional housing directory connecting individuals and referral agencies with housing resources throughout the United States.
From Personal Restoration to Ministry Leadership
Residents who achieve stability and wish to continue serving in ministry will have opportunities to receive advanced training in financial management, business operations, and transitional housing leadership. Qualified participants will then be inducted into the ministry as independent business owners, establishing and operating transitional homes under the umbrella management of Sonshine Ministries Group LLC.
Each independently operated home will contribute to the ministry’s broader mission while creating additional opportunities for individuals experiencing homelessness. This model aims to build a growing network through residents who become entrepreneurs and ministry leaders.
