Company reaffirms commitment to ballistic protection products and customer trust amid alleged intimidation attempt

The company maintains that the apparent objective was to damage its reputation unless a financial settlement was made. Gang Wayz says it rejected those conditions and chose not to negotiate under what it considers intimidation.
Company leadership states that records and evidence related to the matter have been preserved. Gang Wayz says its position has remained consistent: paying to avoid criticism, controversy, or reputational pressure is not an acceptable response.
“Rewarding this kind of behavior would only encourage more of it,” the company said. “Our focus remains on building the company, improving our products, and serving customers who rely on practical ballistic protection solutions.”
Gang Wayz emphasized that the dispute is separate from the quality, design, or intended performance of its products. The company continues to promote its lineup of bulletproof backpacks, ballistic sling bags, and everyday carry protection products. According to the company, its products use UHMWPE, a commonly used material in ballistic applications, and certain products are designed to provide ballistic resistance against threats including up to .44 Magnum, while maintaining practical everyday functionality.
As the brand gains visibility, Gang Wayz acknowledges that increased public attention can bring criticism, scrutiny, and online controversy. The company says it views those challenges as part of growing a business in a highly visible category, but it will not allow outside pressure to determine its direction.
CEO Raphael Ranger said Gang Wayz will continue moving forward.
“We were the victims of intimidation and extortion, and we are not backing off,” Ranger said. “I have never backed off from intimidation attempts, not in business and not in my personal life. I will not start today.”
