For many aspiring models, the journey begins with childhood dreams, magazine covers, or years spent envisioning themselves under bright runway lights. For Tekelle Evans, however, the path into fashion arrived through something more personal: a desire for creative expression and the opportunity to become part of something larger than herself.

Recently crowned Miss Palm Beach County US Nation 2027, Evans represents a new generation of titleholders who see modeling not simply as glamour, but as storytelling. Though she officially began modeling in October 2026, her passion for fashion was born from a deeper appreciation for artistry and transformation.
“What inspired me was wanting to get into fashion and use myself as a form of creative expression,” Evans shares, explaining that she loves bringing creative visions to life through clothing, makeup, and visual storytelling. For her, modeling is less about standing in front of a camera and more about becoming part of an artistic process that allows ideas to take shape.

It is this perspective that shapes how Evans views the modeling industry itself. While many outside the industry may only see polished campaigns or carefully curated runway moments, she sees something much more meaningful beneath the surface.
“The modeling industry is about self-expression through art,” she says. “Through clothes, looks, and makeup.”
Yet Evans is equally candid about the realities that come with pursuing a career in fashion. She is determined to challenge the misconception that modeling and pageantry are effortless industries built solely on appearance. Instead, she emphasizes the discipline required to thrive in spaces where rejection, performance, networking, and personal resilience often happen simultaneously.
“This industry requires discipline, both mental and physical,” she explains. “You have to handle runways, shoots, interviews, networking, rejection, and still juggle life outside of it.”
Her honesty reveals a level of maturity often developed through experience, something Evans appears to carry naturally into her title. Rather than viewing Miss Palm Beach County US Nation 2027 as simply a crown or sash, she sees it as a platform to build meaningful relationships and create opportunities not only for herself, but for others navigating similar ambitions.
Evans plans to leverage her title to expand her professional network, open doors for future opportunities, and amplify the work of other emerging creatives by highlighting and supporting them through her growing platform. It is an approach rooted in collaboration rather than competition, a refreshing mindset in industries often perceived as cutthroat.
Her ambitions, however, are anything but small. Five years from now, Evans envisions herself modeling full-time, signed with a major agency, recognized as a household name, and gracing the cover of Vogue. It is a dream she speaks of confidently, yet with an understanding that reaching those heights requires persistence, consistency, and unwavering focus.
Her interests within fashion are equally expansive. While she is especially drawn to fashion, commercial, swimwear, and haute couture modeling, Evans remains open to opportunities that challenge her creatively and professionally.
There is also far more to Evans than what audiences may see on a runway. Long before stepping into the fashion world, she spent twelve years mastering the clarinet, participating in ensembles and devoting seven years to marching band. She also dedicated eight years to her church’s liturgical dance team, experiences that undoubtedly shaped her stage presence, discipline, and confidence in performance settings. Outside of fashion, she enjoys anime, basketball, and softball — interests that reflect a personality grounded in creativity, movement, and balance.
Now, with her title in hand and momentum building, Evans is preparing for an even bigger stage. In February 2027, she will compete for the title of Miss Florida US Nation, where she hopes to continue proving that determination, artistry, and authenticity belong at the forefront of modern pageantry.
For Tekelle Evans, this is only the beginning. Beneath the elegance of pageantry and the artistry of fashion lies a young woman with ambition, discipline, and a clear vision for where she intends to go next — and she is walking toward it one runway at a time.
